Stamford Public Schools APPLES General Education Program
General Education Program is a lottery. Criteria is:
1. City of Stamford Employees who are residents of Stamford.
2. City of Stamford employees who are non-Stamford residents.
3. City of Stamford residents.
AGE REQUIREMENTS – Applicants must be age 3 on or before September 1, 2024. If your child is NOT 3 as of September 1, 2024, they are NOT eligible for entry into the APPLES General Education program.
Hours and Schedule: This program follows the Stamford Public Schools calendar. Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with extended hour options of 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. These extended hours are included in your tuition.
Important Dates in Lottery Application Process:
The deadline for submission of a lottery application is Friday, March 8th.
PARENT PROGRAM ORIENTATION- Mandatory- Tuesday, February 6 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. During this Orientation parents will learn about the program and have the opportunity to tour the school. Please make every effort to attend in person.
CHILD VISIT – MANDATORY - Thursday, February 8th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. During this visit, parents and students will participate in activities to help us get to know your child. Please make every effort to attend. It is important for us to get to know you and your child.
